Basketball is one of the 28 sports in 2016 Summer Olympics which is scheduled to take place from 6 to 21 August at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Olympic Training Center in Olympic Park will be hosting the preliminary and knocked out matches of men’s and women’s basketball championship in Olympic Games 2016.

Qualified Teams

Both men’s and women’s teams will compete in the Rio Olympics. A total of 24 teams from both events will participate in XXXI Olympiads and each will consist 12 teams. Hosts Brazil have qualified for both men’s and women’s in the competition.
